A tire that needs air every few days with no nail in it is almost always leaking at the rim, not the rubber. Corrosion on the bead seat, a slight bend in the lip, or a hairline crack lets air escape where the tire meets the wheel — and a tire shop that checks only the tire finds nothing. We find the exact spot, clean and reseal the bead seat, straighten or weld the rim if that's the cause, and pressure-test the wheel before it goes back on.
